Soos Labs builds small tools that respect the people using them.
Each of the four started the same way: the thing should exist, no version of it treated its users properly, so it got built. That is the whole strategy. There is no roadmap document and no growth target — when something is good enough to be useful, it ships.
What they have in common is not a category. It is a set of rules that do not get broken.
Do the work on the device when the device can do it
A birth chart is arithmetic. A QR code is a picture your phone already has. Neither needs a round trip to a server, so neither gets one — which means there is no copy of your data to lose.
Ship all eight languages at once
Not English first and the rest later. Every string in every product exists in eight languages, and native speakers have read them — the first drafts had real mistakes in them, and those got fixed before release.
Ask for nothing you do not need
No sign-up wall in front of a weather forecast. No email address to scan a code. An account only appears where something genuinely cannot work without one, like an API key.
Be honest about uncertainty
Outside says when the forecast models disagree. Astra computes rather than invents, and says so. It is easy to sound confident; it is more useful to be accurate.
